For decades, the narrative around food safety has largely centered on consumer precautions: wash your hands, cook thoroughly, refrigerate promptly. And while these remain critical, they offer little solace when the contamination originates hundreds or thousands of miles away, embedded within the very structures of industrial agriculture and logistics.
